I'm head baker of another Sussex bakery and also compete against Lee and his team at national bakery awards. So perhaps it's in my interests to agree with you but I cannot.<br>What you say is nonsense. You say they do not make their products. Where do they get them from then? Please tell. There are not the bakeries that make to such a high standard locally, except for us. And they don't buy from us, so where? You don't understand the business, in fact you seem the type to talk without much foundation - as in your post about an insecure shop manager.<br>Please, if you intend to cast such serious aspersions upon people, their integrity, their livelihood and that of their employees please back it up with some proof. In this instance, as you have none, better to keep your mouth shut, no?

I've been to a lot of bakeries but I can safely say that this one along with its sister shop in Bexhill is the best one without question. The range of products are of the utmost quality and taste. I've never been disappointed and would highly recommend it to anyone who lives works and visits Eastbourne. The staff are always polite and friendly and helpful. Try it - you will love it

Bought a gluten and dairy free banana bread to try. It was absolutely delicious, so full of flavour, will definitely be back for more.<br>Well done to the small army of bakers employed by Poppyseed bakery, fantastic job as usual.

Pisquareroot James is spreading complete and utter lies. After working with this AWARD WINNING BAKERY (yes the word bakery is in fact in the title) for almost 13years, I can categorically state that poppyseed bakery makes their own bread everyday, fresh, using the very best of ingredients. I know this, personally ordering a lot of the ingredients they use, myself. Please do not listen to a troll. I don't think we would b in business for 17years selling other people's bread whilst calling ourselves a bakery.

The best award winning sourdough bread! The rolls are amazing and the apple crumble muffins are a must. When we eat locally and Poppyseed have provided the bread or pastries, we know it's going to be good.

The branch at Eastbourne, in Gildredge Road is very reasonably priced selling a variety of pastries, sausage rolls, chicken and mushroom pies, steak pies etc. Muffins, light as a feather - all made at Bexhill Farm Kitchen! Salad counter.<br><br>Big queues for counter service at lunchtimes. Cafe nice and clean and good service from pleasant staff.

Their products are very nice, however been told off when I was buying 6(!) bread buns that I should have ordered it beforehand as they are not ready for such a volume of sales :))
