Joe and his team investigated and rectified a number of issues I had at a rental property. I chose Joe as he had carried out repairs previously at my father’s listed building and we’d both been very impressed with the results there. I was kept informed throughout and he gave great advice on options available to me. The works been done to a high standard and the finish is excellent. Time frame was spot on too. Would strongly recommend.

We honestly can’t recommend J L Timber Design, Joe and the whole team highly enough.
Our “big dig” kicked off mid-August, and from day one Joe project-managed everything seamlessly- and that’s despite recovering from major back surgery (most people would be on the sofa- Joe was organising trades).
He lined up all the trades like a well-rehearsed orchestra, making sure everyone worked efficiently, effectively, and to a great standard.
Thanks to his super organisation, we stayed on track and even managed to hit our ambitious goal of being ready to host several Christmas parties which felt nothing short of a construction miracle!
Fast forward to January and the extra space we now have is genuinely life-changing. With just a few finishing touches left, we’re almost at the point where the house is the home I’ve always dreamt of- and Joe and his team made it happen without us losing whats left of our sanity (or Christmas).
Our house is now a bit like Trigger’s broom- new windows, new doors, and complete transformations on both floors- but the result is a layout we can see ourselves enjoying for many years to come.
We’re incredibly grateful for all the hard work and would 100% recommend J L Timber Design to friends and family, whether it’s a big or small extension, a kitchen or bathroom renovation, or anything in between.

I contacted Joe to ask advice about creating a space for me to run my personal training business from home. We discussed variations options in terms of utilising existing spaces vs starting from new, different layouts and materials vs costs keeping to a rough budget. Once we agreed on what would suit me best, Joe planned and built my gym brilliantly. He organised various trades to operate smoothly from digging the garden out, the concrete base, electrics, plastering and painting. Joe completed the physical structure, internal carpentry, roofing, double glazing, garden pathways, fencing and rear gate. Having this space has been fantastic and all of my clients are loving it! I would 100% recommend Joe to anyone. Always on time, didn't let me down a single day, clear communication, very neat and tidy and always courteous and considerate whilst I had clients training around him. Top man, top service.

Joe has helped me greatly when I purchased my house. It had alot of issues, leaking roof/chimney stack, damp, leaking extension roof, plumbing, electric and more! He fitted new doors, layed flooring, decorated and fitted a new bathroom/toilet. He got a plumber, electrician, plasterer and decorater in and I am happy with their work. He was always willing to explain things to me more than once, its not my line of work and I couldn't visualise things. He was more than happy to explain the options available aswell. He was tidy and considerate to my neighbours as the work was noisey sometimes. I highly recommend Joe because nothing is ever too much for him, be it small or big jobs. Thank you!
