On Tuesday 4th August from 3pm-4pm, Care UK’s Harbour Manor will open its doors to families and neighbours for a food festival, inviting guests to tuck in and celebrate the nation’s shared love of great cuisine, community and connection.

The home will be hosting a Hawaiian-themed event, with tasty platters of home-grown fruit and vegetables as well as live entertainment for guests to tap their toes to.

The events are part of the ‘A Taste of Home’ initiative, which will see all Care UK homes host foodie-themed celebrations and share what life in a care home is really like.

Each festival will showcase sustainable, community-focused initiatives while celebrating the diversity and creativity within the homes, from residents’ favourite recipes and traditional dishes to seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients.
