Could you help children see their mum or dad at a local Child Contact Centre?

Cordomus is a new local trust set up to support families in crisis. In July, Cordomus plans to open a Child Contact Centre in the Deal area to help parents and children maintain contact after a family breakdown. Cordomus needs volunteers to help run the Contact Centre.

Volunteers will need to give 3 hours of their time on a weekend, about once a month, and will be supported by a Centre Coordinator. They will help welcome families to the Centre and facilitate positive contact between parents and children.

Child Contact Centres provide a neutral place for children to meet the mother or father who no longer lives as home with them, and where communication has broken down. The centres are equipped with the child in mind, providing toys, games and facilities with reflect the diverse needs of children affected by family breakdown.

Cordomus will be holding a Volunteers Introductory Day on Friday 11th June, in the Deal area, where you can join them for the morning or for the afternoon.

This will be a chance to find out more about volunteering at a Child Contact Centre and to see whether you might like to help us provide this service for local families. It will be a friendly and welcoming event and you don't need to have any particular experience or skills to join in. Refreshments will be available.

If you would like to come along in the morning or afternoon on 11th June, please contact Cordomus on 01304 374521 (weekday mornings) or mobile 07960 4714527; or email enquiries@cordomus.info to book your place. Or just give Cordomus a call to have a chat and find out more about volunteering opportunities at Cordomus.
