Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night is about to descend on us once again.  Isn’t it astonishing how quickly the year has passed?   There’s something magical about 5th  November festivities isn’t there?  Communities gathering together around the bonfire gazing up at the colours and enjoying the booms and whizzing of fireworks.

There are usually lots of different Fireworks Displays on and around 4th and 5th November in the area so please do come and check the site to find out where your nearest one will be held.

Also if you are holding your own Fireworks Displays and you would like some help publicising it then just let us know – we’d gladly feature you on the site for free!

Fireworks night is a lot of fun but it’s important to follow a few simple rules to keep you and your loved ones safe and sound (especially those of you with children):

Make sure children understand that fireworks are not toys, they are explosives.

Ensure that children hold sparklers at arms length.

Remember that the end of a sparkler is very hot so it much never be touched, even after it has gone out.

Even if a firework has not gone off it could still explode.  Be careful.

Don’t go near a firework that has been lit, stand well back and enjoy from a distance.

Please keep your pets indoors.  They can be easily scared by fireworks.
