I heard a rumour that the Regent Bingo Hall on the seafront at Deal might be knocked down and flats or houses built on the site. But they will preserve the front of the building.
So what happened to the plan to turn it into a cinema? Perhaps it's just not viable?
If the building really isn't going to get used then preserving the front and creating homes behind it sounds like a good idea. There is a shortage of decent homes and if they could be built with affordability in mind so that young people and those on low incomes can afford them, so much the better.
Much better than building on fields.
