The next big sporting event is now upon us, and has started with the necessary fanfare and a few sporting upsets.

But where in Croydon is a good place to catch the games?

We couldn't recommend The Spread Eagle enough - fantastic pub offering top notch audio and big screen TVs - bringing the stadium next best thing to being in the stadium feel in the comfort of a pub!

The Spread Eagle promises a vibrant atmosphere, locally brewed ales and delicious food, all under the one roof... heading there for the next game is sure to be an experience you won’t forget!

A little further afield but equally worth a visit is The Furzedown pub in Streatham. Under new management, the pub is a popular bar with a dedicated sports area showing live rugby games in HD on a big screen - perfect for catching all the action!

A few other venues of note: Tiger Tiger and Rileys sports bar.

So watch the rugby world cup in comfort (and in the dry!) in any of these great venues!
