I read this week in This is Croydon Today that the Acting Borough Commander Adrian Roberts has been confirmed as Croydon's new police Chief.
In his Acting post since last autumn, it seems fitting to pass the full time baton to him now. A local resident, he is presumably going to hold a very personal interest in issues within the Borough, which can only mean good things.
He seems to be held in high regard by Council members and his own force, and seems to bring with him to the role a sense of confidence that he will deal with many of Croydon's problems effectively and sensitively.
