Just off Surrey Street is Matthews Yard – a 300 square metre space incorporating a coffee shop, canteen, members lounge and workspace.

Following the negative publicity suffered by the Croydon community as a result of last year's riots, businessman Saif Bonar was determined to counteract this, believing Croydon has a positive future given the right opportunity and investment.

Putting his money where his mouth was, Saif founded Matthews Yard as a venue for individuals, entrepreneurs and companies from Croydon and surrounding areas to work in a professional environment. With exceptional facilities and the opportunity to network with other businesses, members can take advantage of free use of high speed internet, printing and document production including laminating and binding equipment in a comfortable, safe working environment.  In addition to this is the Members Lounge and bar area, featuring a small library, comfortable seating and a licensed bar.

Matthews Yard also houses both a coffee shop and canteen for use by both members and non members.  Quality coffee and soft drinks, wholesome healthy food and comfortable surroundings are all on offer.

There are a wide range of membership packages to suit both your needs and budget.  This is the first venue of its kind in Croydon - or South London for that matter - and looks set to benefit both the business and residential community.
