Now class, does anyone know which festival is fast approaching? Anyone?
Is it, could it be... the night witches are abroad?
And then when they get back from their holidays, it's Halloween!
How is it children get so excited about Halloween and Bonfire Night so far in advance... Mind you, with what my lot have got planned, I'm going to be stuck to my sewing machine with PVA glue and a tub of black poster paint for the next three weeks anyway.
I'm not so sure about the trick-or-treating idea (bit of an Americanism for me), but the school disco will be a great treat for them to look forward to with a bit of healthy competition and envy at the other children's costumes. And accusations the following morning that I could have made a better witches broom as Mary Foster's was really cool and way better.

For this organisation it's Halloween all year round - but their convention just happens to be coming to Fairfield soon.
It's the largest witchcraft convention in the world, with talks and workshops from experts.
Listen to live music and even enjoy a nightclub at this special event.
From 10am until past midnight on Saturday November 8.
