June is the month for celebration and community spirit in Croydon.

The Croydon Heritage Festival is now on! Taking place from 3-23 of June, the Heritage Festival aims to celebrate not only Croydon's rich history but also its promising future with a whole host of family friendly events and activities.

The feast of fun will ensure that over the course of the three week long festival there really is something for everyone - whether it be guided tours and walks around well known landmarks such as the old Palace of Croydon, drop in workshops at the library or even an interactive Have I Got Views for You session, hosted by the students at Trinity School which aims to explore philosophical questions inspired by the environment and community in Croydon today.

The main event this Saturday from 11am - 4pm promises to be an exciting one, with street performers and fairground rides for the children, as well as market stalls and historic displays. This themed public event is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the rich, diverse heritage that has shaped Croydon and made us into the community we are today. It all takes place in the town centre and is sure to be a fantastic day out for everyone.

Let us know if you have any stories to share about the festival, or if you're a performer and want to share your experience of the events - we'd love to hear from you!
