Larry Lamb, Eastenders and Gavin & Stacey regular will switch on Croydon's Christmas lights on 17th November 2011.
The actor is playing Abanazar in Aladdin, this year's panto at Fairfield Halls.
Larry Lamb will be joined by Graham Bass, Mayor and Father Christmas outside the main entrance of the Whitgift Centre from 6.30pm.
Before the switch-on there will be an afternoon of entertainment and activities outside Allders, Marks & Spencer and JJB Sports.
