I am delighted to announce the winner of The Best of Colchester "Retailer of the Year" Award.
Many congratulations to Ambiance of Colchester for polling 37.5% of the vote. Ambiance is a delightful ladies fashions shop situated in the well respected Crouch Street shopping street. The shop is owned by the lovely Wheeler family who, along with their staff, always provide such a warm welcome to their visitors. Ambiance has been going for nearly 25 years which is a great testament to their philosophy of always offering designer collections of the highest quality. They also specialise in mother of the bride, groom and wedding guests.
Many congratulations also to The Phone Doctor and Bang & Olufsen who were highly commended.
The Phone Doctor is a great little phone repairs and accessories shop in Osborne Street run by Leon Williamson. Leon and his staff always provide a warm welcome and are renowned for their customer service and ability to repair almost any make of mobile phone. They also carry a large array of mobile phone accessories. I have used The Phone Doctor myself and have always been very satisfied with the service.
Bang & Olufsen is quite simply one of the smartest shops in Colchester. Based on the High Street their store is a temple to all that is best in audio visual entertainment. Julian and Robert have built up a loyal clientele of discerning customers and always make you feel at home when you enter their world. Their audio visual presentation room is one of the best I have ever come across.
