Villagers of South Cerney will get together for a day of fun in memory of Jim Pritchard who sadly lost his battle to cancer last year.

The day, Saturday the 17th of August will also be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Katrina Stem Cell Fund via a team golf morning at the village course at 10:30am and then on to The Old George Inn for a barbeque, live music and an auction of promises, which includes lots like a meal for six cooked on your own home courtesy of Crown Catering, a sky dive and the chance to drive a Ferrari.

Old George Inn landlady Saraan DeGuise is proud to be involved. “Cancer affects so many of us and this is our way, as a community doing something for those dealing with the disease and of course for Jim.”

The event begins at 10:30am on Saturday the 18th of August at South Cerney Golf Course. The raffle, auction and barbeque will begin at 6pm and live music will begin at 9pm at The Old George Inn, South Cerney. For information please contact the pub on 01285 869989.
