This week in June is aimed at raising awareness of youth homelessness in the local area, as well as raising much needed funds. We will are hoping to get all the media involved, local press, TV and radio and some local businesses are fundraising for us too. We have a programme of events for the week which is coming together and we will have further details soon:

Friday 28th Street Collection, bed push and sleep out around Cirencester
During that week we will be talking about “sofa surfing” - when a young person finds themselves without a home and starts sleeping on friends’ sofas. We will be holding a number of events culminating, on Friday 28th June, with a street collection and a “sleep out” where a group of volunteers will spend the whole night outside the church in Cirencester. Some local businesses that have sofas already at their business premises are having a collection for CHYP and posters advertising the week on or near the sofas.
