We have also been enjoying weekly training sessions ranging from 1 to 3 hours, developing endurance and getting those valuable miles and hours under our belts.  For an added bonus, as we are Nordic Walking and experiencing a full body workout, we are burning serious calories, on average around 700calories per hour; hence we are all experiencing weight loss and body toning, all with the added benefit of being able to natter and enjoy stunning views, all the way around our routes.

Exploring the Cotswold Way has been a refreshing and enjoyable change from previous winters when I have been busy training and working in the Alps.  There is definitely a draw to exploring what’s on your doorstep and for years I have ventured to far off places, hot and cold climates in search of adventure; but actually it is here, not 20 miles from my front door.  How many of you search for something that is quite literally under your nose?

The Cotswold Way, and my involvement with the ‘4M4D Challenge’ has allowed me the time to get to know our area, to walk its pathways and marvel at its beauty, particularly throughout the seasons.  I wouldn’t say I am an expert on the Cotswold Way, but I feel as though I understand and appreciate it now.

If you would like to join us for Nordic Walking, or on our many and varied walks, hill days and mountain days please contact us www.GeminiOutdoorAdventure.co.uk this year we aim to walk the Ridgeway and Hadrian’s Wall; in addition to overseas trips to Morocco and the Alps.
