The Lights Went On And No-One Was Home!
30th November 2012

Everyone was out to see the switching on of the Christmas Lights in the town centre. Jack Frost had been working his magic wnd event though it was freezing cold, the streets were packed to listen to the music of The Roving Crows and to see the magic of Christmas begin in Cirencester.

The Baker Brothers were there to do the honours and at 6pm everyone counted down before Henry and Tom Herbert flicked the switch. The town centre is now beautifully and tastefully adorned with sparkly lights to get everyone in the mood for the festive season to come.  The wooden market Chalets look wonderful with their merchandise and this year there is even more focus on good quality foods and goods. The lights stretch down Black Jack Street and through Swan Yard so make sure you explore the town.  You can always get involved with the Christmas in Cirencester Treasure Trail and find those pesky lost Drummers!
