All the fun of the fair! Wilmslow care home invites community to summer celebration

A care home in Wilmslow is opening its doors for a free circus-themed fair fuelled by music and games.
On Tuesday 25th August from 12pm–3pm, Care UK’s Long Stone Manor will be hosting an afternoon packed with live entertainment, food and fun activities for all ages.   Visitors to the Manchester Road home can look forward to toe-tapping vintage tunes and energetic performances by Steeldrumbands.   There will also be plenty of classic fair favourites such as a tombola and raffle, with fantastic prizes up for grabs. For the little ones, Will Cousins will be balloon modelling, while the home’s head chef will be serving up a barbecue.   Guests will also have the chance to meet Long Stone Manor’s friendly team, chat with Home Manager Laura Foster and take a tour of the care home – which boasts a bar, cinema and hair and beauty salon.   Laura said: “We’re excited to welcome the local community to our summer fair. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a sunny afternoon together, with something to delight visitors of all ages. We’ve planned an exciting afternoon full of activities designed to bring people together, create memories and, most importantly, have fun!    “Events like this are a lovely way to give visitors a taste of life here by meeting the team and spending time with residents.     “We can’t wait to welcome families and friends from across Wilmslow, so do join us for what promises to be a fantastic afternoon.”  Long Stone Manor is a state-of-the-art care home that provides full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care, for up to 60 people.
