This was our first booking for our monthly guys Dinner Club. I never even knew this place existed as its off the beaten track of the high street. It was lovely. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic.

This was a lunch visit on 29 November, and followed another (long) lunch in March this year, previously reported on Trust Pilot. It was a pleasant surprise to be recognised on entering L'unico - "The only one" - Eduardo even remembered where we sat the last time!
The menus arrived. What to choose? It's all so good. We decided on the same starter, Gameroni Romano, which is Butterfly King Prawn, With lemon, garlic, Chilli and cherry tomatoes, served with Sourdough bread. This dish was sublime and the sauce a subtle blend of flavours, easy on the palette.
We went our separate ways for our main courses. Jane opted for Pollo Firenze, free range chicken cooked in a white wine and tomato sauce, with mushrooms and prawns, served with Tuscan potatoes. My choice was Pollo Dell L’unico, free range chicken Supreme served With asparagus and bacon In a white wine and garlic sauce with a touch of cream & Tuscan potatoes. Whilst each dish came with some vegetables, we opted for a side dish between us of beans broccoli and carrot. Again, the flavours were a subtle blend, the chicken cooked to perfection, and the accompanying actors on each plate playing their parts perfectly.
One really great feature of this restaurant is that time is on your side. We normally hum and har over the offer of the dessert menu, generally not expecting to find space, and conscious of hustle and bustle elsewhere. But the combination of the relaxed atmosphere in L'unico, and letting our mains settle, meant that when the menu arrived, and we sat and thought, Eduardo's suggestion of House profiteroles was irresistible.
A very acceptable Pinot Grigio Blush accompanied our meal. Another long lunch, surely to be repeated in the New Year. Eat food cooked with passion and enjoy.

Had an excellent meal tonight at L'unico Ristorante. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were really friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wine and limoncello! We're sad to only be visiting - if we lived in the area we would definitely be return customers!

I am in love with this restaurant, great atmosphere, hospitality and the food most importantly is amazing , especially the lasagne!!!!! Never disappointed and have tried several dishes. Everything is fresh and sooo tasty. Would recommend and you will not be disappointed ❤️

Me and my friend had dinner here last night and it was delicious. I had the Carbonara which I hadn't had in a while & it was so yummy it did not disappoint!
We were lucky enough to have the restaurant to ourselves & the staff were very personable and friendly which made the experience even better. The only reason I deducted an atmosphere star was the music stopped for a while which was very noticeable as we were the only 2 in there
I will definitely be coming back & to those saying why is it so quiet etc the location is hidden which has always suffered in Chelmsford compared to the high street bit this restaurant is worth the visit!

We had the most amazing experience at L’unico!! It was our daughter’s birthday and they really made her feel special and the food was absolutely amazing! I would recommend without hesitation! And I’ll be back…for MY birthday! Thank you L’unico for a top night!

My wife and I had an excellent lunch here today and would highly recommend the restaurant! Additionally, I am pleased that we ignored the recent one star isolated review, I can only assume whoever it was, had had a bad day and wanted someone or something to complain about!

Great Independent Italian, food always tastes so fresh and prepared with love. Owner Eddie makes you feel at home, service is great, highly recommend, why go to a chain when you have authentic Italian Cuisine on your doorstep.

I was wandering around the neighborhood after my run, looking for a new restaurant to try for dinner. I was so glad to find this Italian place! The food was delicious with generous portions, and the service was top-notch. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Me and my partner visit Lunico’s regularly , we are NEVER disappointed by the service nor the food! As someone who loves spaghetti Bol this is the BESR I have ever eaten (from all over the world including Italy!) that said everything we have eaten is always fresh and we are always looked after. Nothing is ever a problem for the team.

Visited for the first time last night. Food was really great and tasty. Staff were great and helpful too. Environment is like being in a traditional Italian restaurant. Great value for money, will definitely go back again and would thoroughly recommend.

Probably one of the best hidden secrets in Chelmsford! What a little gem! Authentic Italian restaurant, hands on passionate owners and food out of this world! We arrived for the first time after recommendation but I can say this will now be my regular… just don’t tell everyone! Ps. Tiramisu 👌
