We had a brilliant time at the ‘Make Your Own’ distillery tour and tasting. It was great to hear Zane’s story of how he has grown his business over the last few years, and that he has maintained the ethos of supporting quality, local businesses; it was really inspiring and interesting - as was the tour itself! Informative and fun, makes this event a brilliant way to spend a few hours! I’d highly recommend.

We had a great time doing the “tour and taste”! Zane was an excellent host and really did a great job in promoting Essex Spirits for all the right reasons.<br><br>We walked out with a bottle of Gin-o-cello which goes well in the sun!<br><br>Would definitely do again!

I am a bit biased as I learnt about Zane and his team with all the good they do around sustainability and supporting local businesses and charity in Chelmsford and the greater Essex area. However, not as surprised as when wifey gave up a birthday gift to visit the distillery (with her) and sample the raw product. Fantastic and enlightening. DON'T drive there and have a SOUND LUNCH afterwards. 'Big Up!' to Zane from a fellow Hackney turned Essex 'Boy'....and my Dad was absolutely over the moon with his 88th birthday gift. Kevin & Vicky.

We did a “Make Your Own Spirit” session. We received a warm welcome with a complimentary drink before having a tour of the distillery. We then had a gin tasting before we were set loose to create our very own bottle of gin. We had great fun during our visit, we were well looked after and each part of the experience was just the right duration. We particularly enjoyed creating our own gin from the many and varied ingredients available to us. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, thank you to Zane and the team.

We booked a tour and tasting with friends, it was very good. Zane know his stuff! We enjoyed his story of opening his business and how he's created a premium brand from scratch. The tastings were all good, his sustainability approach is positive and easy to get on board with. We will be back. I recommend a visit. And will be visiting the new bar in city centre soon.

Attended the distillery talk and tour on Saturday, given by Matt who made it most interesting and informative. After a welcome drink then tasting of the latest gins rums and vodka, including a delightful Gin-o-Cello (which I will be refilling later today!) the methodology was fascinating to hear about and see, making all local, with quality and sustainable

The drinks themselves are something special - you can taste the quality, thought and care gone into every single one. The Pink Jam Gin and Gin-O-Cello were my particular favourites! Great day of making and tasting with ESC.<br>Went to a gin making afternoon ran by Adam who was top knotch.<br><br>Tasted a number of the products on sale by ESC before making my own Gin.<br><br>All products superb…. Gin, Gin o Cello, Summer Cup and the outstanding spiced rum.<br><br>Superb day and great products, highly recommend.

We had an excellent tasting experience by the owner Zane who told us how he set up his business in his grandmothers garage during Covid lockdown. He cares as much as is possible for the environment and sources his ingredients locally as far as possible. The gins are all excellent and I will certainly be getting refills. I have today enjoyed a sunny afternoon in the garden sipping the Army & Navy dry. Superb. Next will be the Gin-O-Cello. I thoroughly recommend that you give his unique Gins a try.

We did the tour and can't recommend it enough for a night out with a difference.<br>There is onsite parking (and a separate package for designated drivers)<br>The price is very reasonable.<br>The tour was around 2 hours, and Zane (founder and tour guide) is super passionate.<br>We tried lots of products and loved them so much we bought 5 bottles!<br><br>The company's values are based on passion. Quality (best products from the best ingredients); community (majority of the ingredients are from local suppliers, supporting local business) and sustainability (process at lower temperatures to reduce the environmental impact, refilling bottles and producing very little waste).<br><br>We can't wait to go back and do the "make your own".
