Global meets local in Carlisle

Here, at ThebestOfCarlisle, there's a fair amount of work involved in developing the site - keeping our events fresh and up to date is one example, and it's one area I regard as key.  A rich source of local information - a resource is how I see it, and this view is borne out when I look through the site traffic statistics, with a large and increasing amount of site visitors heading to our events section.  Others look for suppliers, and the testimonials reinforce what TheBestOfCarlisle really is all about.  Great local suppliers, and word of mouth.

Earlier today, when updating the events section (Carlisle Fairtrade Fashion Show on May 8th), I came across a Cumberland News article, with a section dealing with Fair Trade Issues and local involvement, including that of Lorna Strong of the Carlisle World Shop. Businesses like this are what give Carlisle its uniqueness as a shopping centre - not the high street multiples, and people of Carlisle seem to think so too.  Click here to see what people say about the Carlisle World Shop

Well worth a visit, and if you like the shop and the service, show them your support in the testimonial section!
