I had an early start on Thursday as I always need to visit Colin who owns Cafebarons bright and early before his day runs away with him - the world of catering never changes.

The excellent news from my visit is that he has kindly agreed to donate one of his splendid celebration cakes as a draw prize for our networking event on Monday - someone is going to be a lucky winner!

Not long after I got back I popped round to see John Davey of Groves Davey who is my accountant. Finalising my tax return is never my favourite activity but with John's lust for life he manages to help deflect most of the pain. Also the good news was that he was meeting a new client that he had secured through the best of Cardiff immediately after me!!

It's funny as I was almost late meeting John after stopping for a quick chat with Greg Oxenham of Mortgage ID who was sitting in his car in Penylan road. The chance meeting saved Greg the trouble of emailing me to confirm that he is coming to our networking on Monday. The numbers are looking good and we should have about fifty there - which is just about the perfect number.

With Monday in mind I was lucky enough whilst I was out and about in Roath to pick up a couple of props I will need. so positive excursion all round (well except for finding out the tax I will need to pay in Januray!).
