More than 10,000 bulbs have been planted in the Green Flag award-winning park, including wild daffodils and bluebells near Cannock Park Golf Course; crocus and scilla near the rose garden; and daffodils in the borders with Park Road.

Around 20 Friends of Cannock Park members, including chairperson Christine Salmon and former chair Margaret Heaton, joined Council contractor The Landscape Group and Council employees on Monday 17th January to help with the planting near the rose garden.

The park was awarded the prestigious Green Flag award for quality parks and open spaces in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and the Council hopes it can land award number four in 2011.
