The Local Plan (Part 1) sets out the strategic and development management policy for Cannock Chase District up to 2028 to help shape the way in which its physical, economic, social and environmental characteristics will change. It brings together the former emerging Core Strategy and Rugeley Town Centre Area Action Plan into one document.
Councillor Gordon Alcott, Economic Development and Planning Portfolio Leader said “The submission of this plan is the next step in the development framework for Cannock Chase District over future years. It follows extensive consultation since 2006, the most recent being publication of the Local Plan and a 6 week consultation with residents. It addresses key challenges and opportunities and will help improve the living environment of those living within the District”.
