Reducing red tape

As your local MP I am urging business and charities in Cannock Chase to contribute to the Government’s new task force looking at ways at cutting red tape.

The taskforce set up jointly by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills and Cabinet Office have been asked to investigate and recommend measures to reduce the bureaucratic burdens and red tape on small business and charities.

I am delighted the Government have set up this task force to look at the ridiculous red tape that holds many businesses and charities back. Having visited a number of small businesses and voluntary groups in Cannock Chase they all tell me just how much unnecessary paperwork and form filling they have to do. Small businesses in particular, are the wealth creators in this country and so it is vital that Government make it as easy as possible for business to get on. I would urge all businesses and charities in Cannock Chase to tell the task force about bureaucracy that causes unnecessary burdens for them.
