The operators of the Cannock tip are inviting Cannock residents to exhibitions on Friday 21st May from 2pm - 8pm and Saturday 22nd May from 10am - 4pm to hear about plans to improve waste services for the area.

The plans are set to include a waste plant on the Kingwood Lakeside Industrial Park which is designed to deliver energy to 68,000 homes in the area whilst reducing traffic into the Tip on the Orbital.

Local residents to the sites are less than happy with the thought of more rubbish being destined for Cannock with the smells and traffic already causing major issues.

Lets see what the true implications of the plans are to see whether the plans really will reduce the impact waste has on Cannock.

The exhibitions will be held at the Poplars Landfill Site Offices, Lichfield Road, Cannock. WS11 8NQ on Fri. 21st May 2pm - 8pm and Sat. 22nd May from 10am to 4pm.
