The relationship between Norton Canes High School and St James' Church is longstanding. For over 25 years, students have enjoyed the OPEN DOOR events, where members of the church community join with staff and students in creative projects.

Pupils in Year 8 were guests of the church over 2 days on 17th and 19th September 2013, and were made really welcome. They worked with Father Neil and members of the church community in an exciting programme of artistic and creative projects.

These included glass art, banners, tapestry, quilling and an exciting visit up the church bell tower. Pupils really enjoyed the day and learnt a great deal about the church and its role in the community.
