M6 Toll charges to rise

The M6 Toll will cost all users more from March 2011 following the announcement of price rises. An additional 30p will be charged for car and motorbike users leaving a charge of £5.30 for cars and £3 for motorbikes.

Drivers of larger vehicles will be hit hardest with a rise of 60p. HGVs will now be forced to pay £10.60 to use the stretch of motorway each way.

The Toll continues to be popular as the time saved can out way the cost. An hour spent in traffic can often cost more to a business traveller than the fee charged by the Toll road, but will this view be taken if the price continues to rise?
