Cannock Chase Council is on the look-out for inspirational young people from the District for the annual Youth Endeavour Award.

Each year the Council presents a trophy and a cheque for £50 to a young person who really stands out from the crowd.

We often hear negative stories about young people today. The truth is that only a minority are involved in anti-social or nuisance behaviour. The huge majority make a really positive contribution to their schools and communities.

The Youth Endeavour Award is an opportunity to recognise and reward some of the positive achievements and contributions made to our community by our young people.

The Council has written to local organisations, schools and community groups and asked them to nominate a young person between the ages of 11 and 18 from the District who has stood out from the rest by making an outstanding contribution to their community, their school or a particular organisation.

Anyone in the District who knows of a young person between the ages of 11 and 18 living in the Cannock Chase District who has made an outstanding contribution to the community can nominate them at www.cannockchasedc.gov.uk/youthendeavour.
