The Fayre will be held on Wednesday 18 September 2013 (10am- 2pm) at the Premier Suite in Cannock Town Centre and will be open for free to all local people.
This latest Fayre, organised in partnership with Inspire 2 Independence, follows on from the success of previous events in Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley.
These Jobs Fayres are part of the MP's mission to support local people back into work, and feedback from the previous Fayres where over 1000 local people attended showed that a significant majority of those who attended had enhanced their career prospects as a result. Aidan has already written to 250 local businesses, organisations and charities inviting them to exhibit at the Jobs Fayre.
A number of firms have already confirmed their attendance for the event, but Aidan is publically calling on more businesses to get behind the event, and invites all interested companies with job vacancies to get in touch to reserve a stall. Employers will be able to book a table where they can display literature, leaflets, business cards and pull up banners, and local people will be free to drop by throughout the day and meet to discuss potential opportunities.
Commenting Aidan said: "Following on from the success of my previous Job Fayres, I am delighted to announce the date of the next Fayre in Cannock "As the local MP, many employers tell me they are looking to take on new people, either right now or in the near future, but that they do not know how best to meet those in search of a job. Yet at the same time many local people who are out of work tell me how desperate they are to get a job, to get back into the workplace, but that they do not know which employers are looking to recruit. "That's why I am organising these Jobs Fayres, it is my attempt to put those two needs together, by getting employers and potential employees in the same room so that they can meet each other, network and discuss what opportunities may be available."
If you own a business, organisation or charity that has current or imminent vacancies to fill, then this is your chance to meet local people in search of a job. Please contact Jodie Jones at the MP Help Zone on 01543 502 447 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place at the Jobs Fayre.
