On Saturday (18th) I visited the ‘Go Ape’ forest adventure at Birches Valley, Cannock Chase. I visited the attraction in order to highlight and promote the fantastic tourist attractions within Cannock Chase.

‘Go Ape’, described as a ‘high-wire forest adventure’ has giant obstacle courses up in the trees using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire, and zip wires.

After a thorough safety briefing from the helpful staff, I harnessed up and began my adventure through the forest climbing trees, tackling rings and zip wiring over the Chase.

It was such a fantastic day, There were times when I was genuinely terrified but it was well worth it.

We are very lucky to have such a wonderful attraction right on our doorstep. For those who don’t fancy the adrenalin of ‘Go Ape’ you can always hire a bike and cycle along one of the beautiful trails along the Chase. Coming to places like ‘Go Ape’ are not only fun and healthy but it provides a vital boost to the local economy at this very crucial time. I would highly recommend that the people of Cannock Chase and visitors from further afield visit the Chase and all its fantastic amenities.
