Wysing Open 2026 takes place this July, inviting visitors to spend an afternoon on Wysing’s site and see work across our entire programme, from international residency artists, young people and studio artists.
Enjoy Wysing’s outdoor spaces and site-based commissions, visit open studios, and encounter multiple works-in-progress and live interventions throughout the day.
With open studios from 12 – 5pm, and special table read from Samra Mayanja of her project DEAD DAD DEATH CULT at 3pm.
Wysing Open also sees a collaborative presentation and workshop from residency artist Umico Niwa and the Creative Youth Council, which uses found and foraged materials to create hanging sculptures that take over Wysing’s project space.
Meanwhile, STUDIO HOTLINE, a one-day showcase of work curated by Wysing’s Assistant Curator Bella Probyn, presents work by studio artists David Bradley, Beverley Carruthers, Emanuela Cusin, Lawrence Epps, Bettina Furnee, Sophie Hill, Joanna Holland, Rohini Kapil, Penny Klein, Georgina Manning, Izzy Meredith-Hardy, Josh McCormack, Emma Smith, Shawn Stipling and Caroline Wendling.
We'll also launch a brand-new limited-edition Socks for Social Dreaming by Louise Ashcroft, developed during Louise's residency at St Peter's School in Huntingdon. Each watercolour is one-of-a-kind artwork, and income from each painting will be split equally between the artist, Wysing, and The Trussell Trust.
