Why is The Comedy of Errors the most 'Shakespeare' of the Shakespeare comedies? Well...because it’s got two sets of identical twins rather than just one! Which means double the hilarity, double the silliness and double the wholesomeness when everyone gets reunited at the end.
For two weeks only, the beautiful outdoor setting of the Knot Garden of the majestic Buckden Towers will become the bustling port city of Ephesus in Ancient Greece. So join us this summer as we follow the madcap adventures of our two Antipholuses and two Dromios, trying to find the rest of their family, but finding a bit more than they bargained for on the way!
A touch tour for the blind and partially sighted is available prior to the performance on Monday 29th June when visitors will be guided around the set and are able to feel the costumes, set and props to get a better understanding of how the scenes play out - please contact the Box Office on 07716 993693 or email boxoffice@satt.org.uk to book.
The show on Tuesday 30th June will be a captioned performance, with live captions provided by Stagetext, enabling those who are deaf, or are losing their hearing, to follow the play more closely. It can also be a benefit for those who are new to Shakespeare and want to follow the text.
