A care home in Cambridge is inviting the local community to attend its summer open day, complete with cocktails and canapés.

Care UK’s Heathlands House will welcome visitors on Saturday 27th June from 12pm–4pm, when the team will open the doors for a relaxed cocktail party and tours of the home’s facilities.

The open day aims to give the Cambridge community a closer look at the care home environment and the enhancements made to ensure comfort, safety and a welcoming atmosphere.

On arrival at Bullen Close, visitors will be greeted in the main reception area before being invited to sample a selection of delicious canapés and refreshing cocktails prepared by the home’s talented chefs.

Guests can also take part in casino-themed activities including roulette and card games, explore the beautifully designed communal spaces and gardens, and chat with the home’s care experts.

Razvan Stanbeca, Home Manager at Heathlands House, said: “We can’t wait to welcome the Cambridge community to our summer open day. We’ve planned a relaxed afternoon with plenty of entertainment and a chance to try some of our chef’s fantastic canapés.

“We’re also looking forward to showing visitors the warm, friendly environment at our home. On behalf of the whole team, we’d love to invite everyone along to what is set to be a wonderful event.”

Heathlands House offers full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, while also promoting independence, the home incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies, including its own cinema room, hair and beauty salon and pub. The layout of the building has been configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge and dining room to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
