Bestof Camberley have found out from Astrid Haigh-Smith at the online radio station radio basingstoke that there is a new Guinness World Record attempt at 5-aside Football endurance. The football marathon organised by John Morgan at Surrey Community is being held on the week-end of October 17th-18th 2009. The recently opened new sports hall at Collingwood College in Camberley will be the venue for this worthy event, that not only hopes to break the record of 24 hours 30 minutes, but hopes to raise lots of money for NSPCC, The HART Wildlife Rescue and the Princess Alice Hospice. Collingwood have donated this wonderful sports complex free of charge for the week-end.

They are looking for keen men and women to volunteer to be part of this great venture. It doesn't matter if you have stopped playing amateur sport or even retired as a professional - they want all comers. radio basingstoke  & John Morgan are working together to promote this event and bestof Camberley is pleased to be able lend a hand to let the sports people of Surrey Heath know all about it.

Live music, food & drink will be on hand from the viewing gallery and should you want to get involved in any way.

Please contact Astrid at astrid@radiobasingstoke.co.uk or phone: 01256 810764 or 07881 708975.   - or -
