BIG is a non-profit, user led charitable organisation which serves mental health service users in the community. It also promotes good recovery and is open to any adult in Bury with a mental health issue.
BIG groups are warm and welcoming. If you are suffering in isolation, don't! If you're anxious about going to a new group please phone up and somebody will meet you and welcome you gently into the group. BIG made a huge impression on my life for the better!

Thought Medequip for Kids was such a great charity myself and my business colleague decided to chuck ourselves out of a plane at 14ooo feet doing a tandem skydive in order to raise money for them great charity looking after kids in the NorthWest!

Speakeasy members offers different types of help for people to practice their communication and learn new skills. Help is given to increase confidence and use communication in the best way possible.
My partner Debbie has been attending Speakeasy for 12 months now and we can't thank this wonderful and worthwhile charity enough. After suffering a severe stroke which affected her right side and took her speech leaving her with Aphasia .Debbie is fighting hard on a long road to recovery. She spent a few years in speech therapy which gave her a good grounding in her efforts to speak. Since moving on and attending Speakeasy the difference they've made to her speech and communication is amazing . A couple of weeks ago Debbie stood up in front everybody and gave a presentation about her life. Thank you Speakeasy for everything you do and making such a difference to our lives.
