Look After Your Knees is a bold, heartfelt, and joyfully ridiculous new solo performance by Natalie Bellingham, exploring one woman’s messy mission to let go of a load of sh*t.
In this honest and imaginative blend of comedy, storytelling, and movement, Natalie invites the audience on a personal journey through the chaos and wonder of being human. It’s a show about growing older, connecting and unravelling, holding on and letting go. At its heart, it’s about trying to figure out what comes next—when life hands you the steering wheel and you’re not quite sure where you’re going.
Navigating change, identity, grief, and the universal weirdness of existence, Look After Your Knees is funny, raw, and deeply relatable. Natalie’s performance is supported by a talented creative team including director and co-creator Jamie Wood, with sound by Jack Sibley, design by Hannah Sibai, and lighting by Martin Smith.
This playful yet poignant production is supported by Arts Council England, Wakefield Council, and partner venues including Barnsley Civic, Leeds Playhouse, The Dukes Lancaster, Lawrence Batley Theatre, and CAPA College, Wakefield.
Whether you’re navigating your own personal turning point or simply in need of a night of theatre that’s as thoughtful as it is entertaining, Look After Your Knees is not to be missed.
