Local Solicitors Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall, WHN, once again delivered Christmas cheer and goodwill to people who needed a boost over the festive period.
As we all know 2020 was full of ups and downs, with Covid19 locking most of us down for long periods and the consequential loss of commerce and jobs. We all needed some relief in preparation for what promised to be a better New Year.
WHN Bury sent gifts to Fostering Together for the third year in a row. Fostering Together provide the transformational path to providing a lasting and positive difference in support of children in care who are often the most vulnerable members of the community. Santa also visited the local food banks in Bury delivering Selection Boxes and Mince Pies!
Then the teams in Bury and Haslingden were out delivering selection boxes to Haslingden Community Centre and Bury Foodbanks. The Bury office also made a special donation to The Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, which works to help families living with childhood brain tumours and post-surgery disabilities, in place of a traditional Christmas party.
The WHN team in Accrington ran an online raffle for community solutions and the prize was a superb Harvey Nic’s Hamper!
Such festive cheer is delightful and delivered a morale boost amongst the community.
Staff at WHN also entered a special Christmas bake-off held by Lancashire charity Rossendale Hospice, which cares for patients and their families living with cancer and other life-limiting conditions. Entrants purchased a baking kit from the hospice then competed to create the best cake.
As they look forward to 2021, WHN Solicitors are hopeful that they can bring back their ever popular Charity Night, and raise much needed funds for local charities in a time when it is need the most. Watch this space for updates soon!
