WHN – Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall – Solicitors have been practising law for over 200 years. During the lockdown they have continued to provide outstanding legal support whilst following anti-CV19 social distancing rules for the protection of their clients and staff. Operating from home has enabled the company not only to service their client’s requirements but to enhance their staff profile through further learning and qualifications! Outstanding!

Despite the lockdown, team members at WHN Solicitors have been gaining qualifications with Louise Thornsby and Justine Harris-Hughes qualifying as solicitors. Commenting on the qualifications, Michael Shroot, CEO of WHN Solicitors stated: “Justine and Louise are talented and diligent individuals whose hard work and commitment to providing first class legal advice has already helped countless businesses across the region. I am confident that they will go from strength to strength in their careers at WHN.” Enhancing the legal team at WHN speaks well of the company’s resolve during this difficult time to be at the forefront of the recovery by advising business operators and owners professionally into the future.

During the lockdown, meetings are held by video call or, by telephone and a great deal of information is made available via social media, including news up-dates and blogs to keep people informed.

WHN celebrated a successful year with its year-end results in April 2020 showing that they had their strongest ever year, despite the challenges faced across many sectors of Brexit and CV-19, placing WHN in a fantastic position to continue to provide exceptional services to more people throughout the region.

As the lockdown eases and businesses across the country are re-opening their doors WHN’s offices have re-opened. Staff members have been given the option to continue working from home wherever possible for the safety of themselves, their loved ones, and their clients. Detailed risk assessments and action plans have been put in place in accordance to ensure that all WHN’s offices are CV-19 Secure.

Much has changed in recent weeks and we must look forward positively. There is a ‘new normal’ developing in businesses, towns, and cities across the region and beyond. WHN acknowledges this and is working hard to minimise the effects.

Business clients and private/domestic clients alike will still receive the finest professional legal services and advice whilst their safety and protection are assured.

WHN’s Annual Golf Day and their Charity Quiz both had to be cancelled due to lockdown, but the team are as committed as ever to raising funds for local causes and are working hard behind the scenes to continue to fundraise. As soon as they are able, the charity quiz will be rescheduled, and they will get back to putting on a fabulous event in aid of very worthy local charities.
