Clear your diary for the Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival which takes place on the weekend of Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April.
The annual taste extravaganza is back, and this year visitors can expect some amazing additions to the ever popular two-day Chocolate Market.
UK Chocolate Champion John Costello will be making a giant chocolate sculpture of an Olympic gold medallist – and you can step onto the podium and have your picture taken with him!
Local breweries Irwell Works and Outstanding Beers will be producing our very own Choc Fest Beer, made from - you guessed it - chocolate.
Due to popular demand, the Chocolate Festival chocolate bar is back. If you find a golden ticket in one of the bars, you will win a prize. The bars will be on sale soon.
The festival is packed with things to see and do – from workshops and demos to craft activities, a Giant Easter Egg competition, festival mascot Charlie Chick, al fresco dining, live music and much more.
For real ale lovers, why not take the Chocolate Rail Ale Tour with the East Lancashire Railway? Combine a trip on this beautifully restored heritage railway with visits to some of the area’s best real ale establishments and Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival. The ELR will also be running trains throughout the weekend which will get you to the Chocolate Festival in style with activities on board for the youngsters.

It’s a hugely popular event that brings people from all around the country to Ramsbottom and Bury to see the great range of attractions we have to offer them, and long may it continue.
