The role of a Care Assistant
Being a Care Assistant means assisting people in their daily lives whilst helping them to maintain an independent lifestyle. The job role involves working with people with learning or physical disabilities, older people or families. Ideally for the role, it is an advantage if you have had experience in a similar role but if that isn't the case - fear not as Platinum Care provide full training and support for you.
The fundamentals of a great Care Assistant are having patience, being friendly and caring and understanding the diversity of people and then being able to cater to each client's requirements.
Of course, like any care giving role, it is necessary for DBS checks, reference checks, qualification and identification checks, purely to ensure that the best care can be given to the clients of Platinum Care.
