Food and Drink In Bury

There are many great venues to choose from in our fabulous network so why go anywhere else? Here we highlight those that are in the town centre and within walking distance to your shopping trip.

Whether you're a regular to the town to pick up your weekly shop or a visitor joining us for the day, Bury has some fabulous places to eat and take the weight off your feet for a while.

A lunchtime treat needs to be tasty and enjoyable, and that's why our food and drink businesses come to us recommended by local people who have tried and tested them, so we can share their experiences with you.

We have a lovely variety of places to dine who all offer something slightly different to the next.

First of all, Leckenby's Licensed Tea Rooms.
Leckenby's, (formerly Chocoholics) is a quaint little venue based within the Millgate Shopping Centre. It offers a fabulous menu from breakfast through to afternoon tea. They use only the finest of ingredients in all of their menu and even source some of their cakes from Slattery's. Tea's are traditional using leaves, teapot's and strainers, coffees are of many variety from beans and served in cafetiere's. All of the staff are immaculate in their brand uniform and service is always with a smile. This venue does get extremely busy which speaks volumes in itself.

Delicious and Delicious at The Fusiliers.
This is a business of 2 parts, firstly a sandwich bar where you'll simply be spoilt for choice. All ingredients are prepared freshly on a daily basis and all products are sourced locally. There's a lovely choice of breads and there are daily specials and soups which you are guaranteed to enjoy. A very popular place for many years with local businesses and consumers alike with a great reputation.

Just along the road from Delicious, is Delicious at The Fusiliers Museum. Here you have the option to sit in the spacious and comfortable restaurant and enjoy a selection of foods from the daily menu. This is also a dementia friendly cafe and owner Wendy not only invests her time in understanding this cause but ensures that visitors also have the best experience possible.

Tompsons Fish and Chip Shop
The most delicious fish and chips in Bury! Established in Bury for almost 50 years, this is still one of our town's most popular destinations. Perfect for all, it offers smaller portions for children and OAP's as well as a variety of foods to choose from. They sell puddings, pies and sausages as well as what they are known for - fish and chips! It's not all cod though. You'll also find sea bass and prawns on the menu to name but a few!

Barista
Barista is a lovely little cafe bar located by The Rock Development. They serve all day breakfasts and brunch, gourmet teas and coffee and have a fully licensed bar. All products are locally sourced where possible to ensure the best quality at all times. When the sun shines, you can sit outside and watch the world go by. Watch out for afternoon offers such as coffee and cake for under £4.

Of course it doesn't just stop there - we have many more places to eat in Bury which are either slightly further out of the town centre or are open in the evenings.  You can see every one of them here
