Job Summary

Lacey Plumbing & Heating are an expanding company based in Radcliffe, Bury and are currently recruiting for a part time Administrator

The key tasks and skills required are:

Phone: You will have a friendly and confident manner with the ability to deal with people on all levels, receiving inbound calls, and making outbound calls to clients and suppliers, processing them accurately using our specialist software. You’ll be able to think on your feet, prioritising calls and passing details onto the relevant team member. You’ll work well under pressure dealing with a variety of situations where a calm approach may be required.

IT: You will be computer literate in order to input data, type emails and have the ability to produce detailed reports. You will be confident producing letters and keeping up to date records.

Communication: You know the importance of responding to calls and emails quickly and efficiently and keeping customers updated. You are confident dealing with different people such as your office colleagues, engineers, external visitors and customers.

Diary: You will be confident using an online diary to book in work for engineers and quotations for the office team. You will manage our engineers by tracking their whereabouts and working out the most cost effective and efficient route for them to carry out their workload.  You always think ahead for your own and other’s workloads.

Invoicing: You will have the ability to quickly learn a new system for producing invoices, ensuring that they are sent out in a timely manner.  You will be confident in  prompting and chasing customers for payment.

Boss the Boss: The business owners and other team members have become self-sufficient over the years. You will be someone who actively takes administrative tasks from them – in the nicest possible way – to ensure they’re focused on client support.

Systems: Not only do you like following systems, processes and checklists, you like creating and improving them.

General admin: You can file, order stationery and stock.

Non-essentials: As well as creating a tidy and organised office, you’ll identify and action all the little things that help create a pleasant working environment (birthdays, flowers, welcoming visitors, thank you’s, cleaning, etc.)

This is a part time role of 21 hours requiring some flexibility and extra cover for annual leave. Salary for this role is between £14,250 and £15,470.00 (pro rata for part-time) and will be dependent on experience.
