BURY-born professional Boxer Scott Quigg joined members of staff at the Stables Country Club Leisure Club this week for a grand reopening, following its £500,000 refurbishment.
A gym member for many years, Scott Quigg, 29, was delighted to be part of its big reopening and has already made the most of his membership this week!
“The place has been completely transformed, I’m really impressed with it, it looks absolutely brilliant,” he said. “Looks like I’m going to be spending a lot of time here!”
Refurbishment to the pool area included the installation of a hydromassage jacuzzi with 4 jets and 7 blast nozzles and a stylish water feature which cascades a gentle flow of water. There is also a designer Harvia sauna with feature tiling and lighting and a new plant room with state of the art filtration system and a top of the range heating unit.
Ladies changing rooms have also been transformed, now including new showers, tiles, lockers, vanity areas and toilets.
Sarah Sikorski, Owner and Managing Director of Lavender Hotels, which owns the leisure club, said: "I'm absolutely delighted with the Leisure Club refurbishment. We've used only the best materials, fixtures and fittings which is evident in the finished product.
“Following an £80,000 refurbishment of the Hayloft function room earlier in the year, this latest investment takes our total spending to nearly £600,000, which I think underlines our commitment in ensuring The Stables Country Club remains one of Bury's premier venues for leisure and functions."
