Made in Bury support the future of the Bury Businesses Community via their Annual Business Academy.

Designed to help Start Up Businesses get off the ground, the Academy was set up to nurture and support small businesses who have been trading for less than 2 years.

You may be great at what you do, but are you great at all the other things that go into running a successful business?

This is where the Business Academy can help.

Through a funded course of 18 bespoke modules, the Made in Bury Business Academy gives advice and coaching around everything from branding and social media to legal, HR, finance and much more.

With access to local experts, alongside a workbook of essential tools, documents, and templates to build up over the 12-month period, the Business Academy provides a solid foundation to grow and succeed.

You'll be learning with likeminded business owners who become your support network and as you progress through the course, you'll build relationships with these businesses owners that will then continue throughout your new venture. You can share ideas, support each other and network within a private Facebook Group for your Academy class and gain valuable feedback on new products, innovations and ideas.

The Business Academy is part funded by the Made in Bury Weekly £2000 Draw. This not for profit initiative is licensed by Bury Council and helps to nurture successful entrepreneurship in Bury.

For only £2 per week, you could win £2000 each Wednesday whilst supporting start-up businesses across the borough. There are only 2400 tickets available, so the odds of a win are great!

Entering the draw is simple, with only 3 steps -

1. Email debi@madeinbury.co.uk (saying how many tickets you'd like)

2. Receive your ticket number/s along with details of how to set up a standing order via your online banking.

3. Set up your standing order, cross your fingers then wait for the Winning Wednesday call!

The benefit of entering in the above way is that you will be in the draw even quicker than usual and there is no need to make an unnecessary trip to the post box with an entry form.

Made in Bury’s mission- to help tomorrow's businesses today.

You can play a small part in that mission by supporting the draw and buying tickets or recommending a start-up business for the Business Academy.

If you know a business that you think would benefit from the support and guidance of the Academy, or if you're interested in getting involved yourself email -  debi@madeinbury.co.uk.
