Learning to drive with Get Driving Today - a pupils perspective.

In our latest blog for Get Driving Today, I asked one of his current pupils her thoughts on learning to drive with Get Driving Today.  Here's what Aimee had to say.

How long have you been learning to drive?

I have been learning to drive on and off since I was 17 but my past instructors crushed my confidence … I have been learning to drive consistently with Graham since Jan 2017.

We're so glad you've found it again and are happy learning again.

Why did you choose Graham as your instructor?

My awesome boss Gill is good friends with Graham so there was only going to be Graham (very happy about this now).

How do you think you are doing so far?

I think now I am doing a lot better (confidence and anxiety wise) I originally started doing some lessons just before Christmas but due to my financial situation had to stop for Christmas (I was terrible back then and even had a meltdown in the car with Graham tears, hiccups, snot, snorting, the works, it wasn’t pretty).

Too much information Aimee!! lol

What's been your biggest achievement so far whilst learning?

Fixing my clutch control – was a major issue of mine and I just couldn’t figure it out – Graham’s patience is unbeatable!

Give me three words to describe Graham's teaching style?

Patient, uncomplicated (Graham will get this), relaxing.

What's the worst thing that's happened to you on a lesson so far? (go on, you can be honest)

A dog ran out in front of the car - had to emergency break.

Thank crunchie for brakes - so glad you managed to stop!

When you pass your test, what do you think will be the first thing that you do?

Pick my little girl up.

A proud moment for you both.

Is there anything that you would have liked us to ask but didn't?

No I can’t think of anything that needs to be added … Just that Graham is amazing and I would shout that from the rooftops , he makes you feel so at ease in the car and if you mess up doesn’t make you feel like an idiot (he calms me down because I have a tendency to paddy) ,he constantly reassures you and just makes you feel safe… Which is pretty important.

Well I think you've just said it all there....

So there you go, a rather frank piece of information there from Aimee.  However if it does tell a story, it's that Graham is fantastic at what he does and adapts his teaching style to every individuals concerns.

It's great to hear of a persons first hand experience and to see how Graham is held in such high esteem by his pupils.

If you're about to embark on learning to drive, I can think of no better instructor.  Don't hang around though, Graham is so popular that his waiting list is getting longer every day.
