Older students have been rewarded for all their hard work by receiving certificates at Bury Adult Learning Centre.
They had been studying a wide range of courses, and were nominated by their tutors for the level and progression of study and achievements in their subject areas.
Jill Quigley, assistant head of libraries and adult learning, said: “This is always such a special occasion and a great opportunity to meet and to personally thank the learners. Presenting them with their certificates gives recognition for all their hard work and commitment to their studies and coursework.”
The presentation ceremony was also attended by Councillor Peter Bury, council spokesman for employment/skills, and took place during Adult Learners Week in May.
New course guides will be available to collect from Bury Adult Learning Centre, all local libraries and other venues in Bury from mid-July. It will also be available via http://www.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=2608
