Here at thebestof Bury, we are proud to recommend such a fantastic range of restaurants and eateries in Bury.   There’s something for everybody’s palate and style, all offering the perfect extra special date with your loved one this Valentine’s Day.

Are you struggling to decide? Here are some ideas to tempt you:

• Do you love Italian food?  I mean proper home cooked Italian food.  Santino’s is a very stylish Italian restaurant, serving fresh, tasty food, made to order.  The restaurant is modern and elegantly stylish, with impeccable service offering the perfect ambience for a romantic evening for two.

• Looking for something more romantic? The Fisherman’s Retreat in Shuttleworth, is holding a very special Valentine’s Day evening event in their Valley Suite.  You’ll be welcomed with a glass of chilled Champagne and canapés, followed by your choice from a 4 course meal, lovingly created for this special event by the head chef.  A live singer and acoustic guitarist will embellish the romantic atmosphere throughout the evening. Perfect!  For more information and to book your table at this Valentine’s Day event, have a look at The Fisherman’s Retreat website; but don’t delay, booking is essential.

• If an intimate indulgent evening out isn’t your thing, then maybe The Victoria Hotel in Walshaw is for you.  The Victoria Hotel serves excellent, quality, home-cooked food in very warm, friendly surroundings.  This Valentine’s Day, The Victoria Hotel is offering a fantastic deal. Any 2 main courses and a bottle of house wine for just £20. (However, there is a small additional extra charge of £3 if you order steak, but you can’t argue with that.)  All the food is sourced locally and home cooked on the premises.

• If you’re visiting Bury for a special shopping trip this Valentine’s Day weekend, then make sure you head to Delicious at the Fusilier’s museum for an extra special Valentine’s Day lunch.  Wendy and her team at Delicious serve up extremely tasty gourmet sandwiches and a range of very tasty home cooked lunches (and breakfasts too if you’re making an early start to the shops).  Delicious have planned a very special Valentine’s Day menu, that will really put a treat into your loved one’s day.  Delicious source local and in-season for as many of their ingredients as possible from the best that their neighbouring Bury Market has to offer, and their bread is delivered fresh from the ovens of a local bakery every morning. Everything is home cooked, and there’s also a scrummy range of homemade cakes and desserts, so tempting that you’ll just have to go for a pudding too!

So make sure you treat your loved one to some sensational food, served with love in very friendly surroundings, whilst supporting the best local eateries in Bury this Valentine’s day.
