Zuber Bagasi of Synergy Dental Clinic is the latest professional we’re introducing in our ‘in the know’ series.

When he isn’t fundraising and collecting awards, Zuber is a full-time dentist, carrying out an array of treatments including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening. After opening Synergy Dental Clinic in 2012, Zuber increased the patient base from 1500 to a mammoth 4000 patients and is passionate about offering exceptional customer service. If that wasn't enough, Zuber has won Best Dentist of the Year consecutively (in 2013 and 2014) at the Best of Health Awards.  

As part of our ‘in the know’ series, we put a few questions to Zuber, giving you the chance to learn that little bit more about this reputable dentist.

What do you do in your spare time? 

I enjoy extreme sports with high adrenaline activity - the main one being snowboarding. I also like to spend a lot of time with my 3 year old son, who is also learning the slopes! 

What advice would you give to someone who wants to set up their own business?

Ensure a thorough SWAT analysis is completed before your new endeavour is launched. Just hoping that customers will walk through the door is unfortunately not enough. You must ensure that you have a USP and a wow factor to your service or product. Customer service can never be discounted. If you need any business advice, just get in touch with me.

What is your claim to fame? 

I once sat next to a star from Hollyoaks on a plane flight coming back to Manchester.

What’s in your fridge right now? 

Cravendale Milk, Activia yoghurt, lettuce, cucumber, carrots, lemons, tomatoes, cheese, marinated chicken tikka, butter and a variety of condiments.
