Excellent Food at Asia Lounge!

I finally made it to Asia Lounge last night.  After having a number of takeaways from this fabulous Asian restaurant we decided that it was time to get in there and take in the ambience as well as the culinary delights on offer and we were not disappointed.  The great thing here is that you have a choice of both Indian or Thai food from an impressive and extensive menu - we went for a complete Thai menu.
Starting with the prawn crackers which are no ordinary prawn crackers (they are spicy and come with a chilli dipping sauce) and delicious! We then had prawns which were cooked with chilli, lemongrass, lime and soy sauce along with Larb Gai - a minced chicken dish, again cooked with chilli and the works although I would suggest that you order a milder version unless you want to call out the fire brigade to your mouth!  That said, I have had it before but forgot to ask.  If you order as it is you getthe fiery version but it is still fab!
For our main courses we had Tiger prawns in a red curry sauce and a chicken stir fry, not the sort of stir fry you would get at home as this comes in a light sauce and a side of Jasmine rice completed our meal.
I have to say that the food here is excellent - some of the best around!  I like the fact that although hot you can still identify all the independent flavours that go into making your dish.  We also had wine which was excellent value for money with a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc costing less than you would pay for a house wine in most restaurants.
The restaurant is immaculately clean with attentive staff who know the menu well.  A restaurant that I would recommend to anyone looking for good food.  Give Asia Lounge a try - you won't be disappointed!
